Letters From Home
Dear Karly Kernodle,
Your brunette hair runs just below your shoulders now. Your light brown eyes seem to turn golden in the sunlight. Darling, maybe they reflect your heart of gold. Your 5'4" appearance is filled to the brim with your sweet and gentle personality; your optimistic spirit, seeking the good in everything. You just enjoy making people happy and you don't care what it takes or what other people may think of you afterwards.
Although your downside may be your short temper that leads to your attitude. I understand that some people may not be able to handle this attitude, but then again, it has given you many amazing friends, hasn't it? I know you truly cherish your friends; you treat them like family. You protect them at any cost, I've noticed this as you've grown up into a beautiful young woman.
Oh Karly, what would we do without you? I know what you've gotten into and I blame your father... you're just like him; daring and competitive.. I know as you've grown up you've been teased about your knowledge of engines. You've got yourself a nice rx8, built it from stock and I'm proud you could manage that... but please be careful, it would be a mistake to lose you too.
Do me a favor and tell your precious little puppy, Coda, I say hi. Oh, and promise me one thing... that you'll open your real feelings up to people, I know it's been hard, but holding everything in won't help.
Write me soon...
Love, mom.
